BUF Boot Camp Will Launch Online Fitness Program
It took nearly a year of hard work building my business and a good client telling me that “hey, you can’t help everybody”. That made me realize that as long as I was giving each of my clients their best chance to achieve their desired results I was doing what I set out to do. Being fit is not a priority for everyone. An online fitness program would certainly make it easier for a lot of people.
Variety Like None Other
My fitness business continues to grow. Sure clients come and go, but month-over-month, it’s doing better. There’s one thing, however, that’s holding me back. The fact that I can only operate early in the morning has been the main reason I haven’t exploded like I should have. I say “exploded” because with the variety my boot camp offers, you’d be hard pressed to find anything else like it. Hell, finding a program that’s offered on soft flooring will be hard enough. I don’t even have my own facility. I rent space in a gymnastics facility.

Having my own facility would take a huge investment. An investment that I don’t have. So there has to be another way I can continue to grow my business and extend my reach to help more people. Maybe there is something I haven’t considered. How about an online fitness program that offers subscribers the opportunity to join me in weekly workouts. They could log in at their convenience and learn as they go from the video I would produce on a weekly basis. Could that work? Could I actually make it so that subscribers can get my boot camp workouts at their convenience at a low monthly rate? I would create something that they could do with others in a group setting. Something that could be done outdoors or even at a gym. Most people just need the knowledge and structure…and that’s what I can provide.
It will require an investment!
What about equipment? I have a few thousand dollars invested in equipment. Equipment that most people either don’t have or may not be willing to purchase. How else would they get the workouts? Well, I’ll make it easy for them. I’ll present some equipment that they will need to have available to participate in the program. It doesn’t have to be the high-end stuff. They probably won’t know the difference either way. My TRX Suspension Trainer costs $200, but there’s a product similar to it that costs $35. That’s a no-brainer. Equipment is just an investment the subscribers would have to make. It’s not as if they’d be buying something that has no value. As long as they keep training with me they’ll be using the equipment, and ultimately be learning some things that they can continue to do for many years to come.

What about nutrition? That’s the biggest challenge for most people. In my opinion, the best way to help people with their nutrition is to encourage honesty. To solve the problem we must first know what the problem is. Is the client not eating enough, which is negatively affecting their metabolism? Are they eating the wrong things? Is is both? The best way to overcome nutrition challenges is asking clients to keep a food diary. From their we can get an idea of what their issue is. I will continue to encourage the use of MyFitnessPal as I think it is the best tool out there that allows me to connect with my clients. Of course, there will be tips, recipes an meal plans offered, but what good is a meal plan to people who don’t even make time to eat or prepare their food. The nutrition aspect takes time.
So the plan is to offer a subscription based fitness program that allows members to log in to see the weekly workouts, along with additional motivating and entertaining content (I really just want an audience for my videos). I plan to eventually enlist the services of a certified nutritionist to add value to the service. If subscribers are willing to invest in themselves, by investing in little equipment, they will definitely enjoy the experience.
