    Be Successful, Wake Up Early and Exercise

    If I told you that some of the most successful and influential people in business are at the office before most people even wake up, what would you think? I mean, how do you think they got to where they are? CEO’s for companies like Chrysler, Pepsi and Virgin may wake up as early as 4 am. When you want to be successful at something and are never ready to settle there isn’t enough time in a day. They say that waking up an hour early everyday gives you another 15 days in a year.

    Believe it or not there are benefits to waking up early. There are the extra days in the year, there’s the peace and quiet and there’s the opportunity to get a head start on the day. Since I am a fitness professional I have to make it a point to stress that these successful CEO’s aren’t just waking up to check overseas markets, some of them actually have an exercise routine that helps them start their day. They know how important it is to stay fit and active…do you? If Michelle Obama can wake up at 4:30 am to exercise I think we all should be able to.

    The Benefits of Having an Early Morning Exercise Regimen

    I like to think that along with training my clients to achieve their fitness goals I’m also setting them up to be more successful with their careers. I’m looking at CEO’s in the making every morning at BUF Boot Camp here in Charlotte.

    Here are some benefits of having an early morning exercise routine:

    • Get your metabolism rolling. If you’re exercising in the morning you’re going to want to eat after that workout. Eating, along with the workout, is going to get your metabolism kick-started to have you burning more calories throughout the day.
    • Increased likelihood of making better food choices. The chances of you canceling out that good workout, that you woke up early for, by making terrible food choices decreases.
    • Increased alertness and better sleep. You’re already awake, hormones and metabolism are rolling, and as a result you’r more alert and stimulated throughout the day. You’re likely to sleep better as well.
    • Better overall feeling. You’ll enjoy a sense of accomplishment as well as having a better ability to deal with stress.
