Just ask Cheryl. No supplements, no special diet, no quitting. Sure it took me keeping her motivated when she wasn’t seeing the results she wanted every week, but that’s normal. That’s my job. I give them structure and help them track their progress. They have to do the work.
That’s exactly what Cheryl did. While most people expect to see the results she got in much less time (I blame social media), Cheryl knew it wouldn’t be easy.
I commend her for doing the hard stuff…eating right. You can still be over 40 and fabulous just like her.
In her own words
I did not reach my goal weight when I hit the big 5-0. This year, I actually set a goal (which I had not done last year) to give myself until the end of the year (leading up to my 51st birthday) to get the weigh off.
I started my journey with CJ at BUF Boot Camp on April 18th, 2016. By getting up at 5 AM (well, 5:05, lol) to take a 5:30 AM class, I knew my mind was set to get the weight off. I had to go to bed EARLY (which I typically don’t) and I had to get my workout clothes out the night before (which I never do for work). I was on a strict schedule. I told my kids “Do NOT text me after 9 PM”, because I had to go to bed, lol.
I started out losing weight the first week, then I gained some back the next week & it basically switched back & forth for a couple of weeks. At the end of 6 weeks I had lost weight & inches.
Fast forward to September 6th, 2016, I entered the Weight Loss Challenge. I thought this was my chance to be more disciplined and try get to my goal weight. Although I didn’t get to my “goal” weight by the end of the challenge, I did lose weight & inches AND won the challenge. I was shocked to say the least, but really happy about winning.
During this process with CJ & working out at BUF Boot Camp I have lost 20 lbs & almost 4 inches off my HIPS & THIGHS (woot, woot!), a little over an inch off my arms & over 3 inches off my chest. Also, when I started in April, my body fat was in the unhealthy zone, but I am happy to report that I am now in the healthy zone!!
CJ has helped me tremendously. He always answers every question & pushes me, as he knows my potential. He stresses meal planning (which I hate, but it works) & keeping track of your meals in MyFitnessPal. Despite his corny jokes, lol…he’s the best!
Great job, Cheryl! It is a pleasure training clients like you.
